Voiceovers

with the built-inREC

KineMaster's REC tool records from your phone or tablet's mic straight onto the Timeline. Position the playhead, tap Start, and your voice appears in sample-accurate sync with the footage.

What it does

Audio recording synced to your project

Recording with an external app and then importing it means manually aligning audio to video every time. KineMaster's REC tool records directly onto the Timeline at the playhead with no sync work needed. After recording, apply Voice Effects or Voice Changer for character voices, and enable Ducking so your background music automatically lowers whenever you speak.

  • Record narration directly into the Timeline
  • Sample-accurate sync without manual alignment
  • Apply voice effects and Voice Changer after recording
  • Ducking: music auto-lowers under your voiceover

Use cases

Three ways creators use REC

Step-by-step tutorials, travel commentary, and character voices.

Tutorial narration

Record step-by-step instructions directly over screen recordings or demo footage. The voiceover follows to the playhead position so narration lines up with each moment automatically.

Travel vlog commentary

Add voice commentary to travel footage on the go. Record in short takes aligned to each clip, then mix your voiceover against background music with Ducking.

Characters and funny voices

Record a voiceover track, then apply the Voice Changer for robot, deep, or high-pitched character voices. This is useful for comedy, animation-style narration, or branded content.
