Karaoke and instrumental tracks
Remove the vocal layer from a music clip to create a clean instrumental background. Perfect for karaoke videos, cover song projects, or background music where the original vocals are unnecessary.
AI Audio Separation
Split any audio track into vocals and instrumentals with just a tap.
What it does
A single audio clip mixes vocals and instruments together, making it impossible to adjust one without affecting the other. Vocal Separation changes that. The AI analyzes the audio track and outputs two separate tracks: one containing the vocals, the other containing the instrumental music.
Vocals and instruments are combined. Audio changes to the track affect both.
Vocal track and music track land separately on the timeline. Adjust, mute, or apply effects to one or the other.
How to use
Four steps from one mixed clip to two independent tracks.
Add the audio or video clip containing the audio you want to split.
Tap the clip to select it. Then, tap Vocal Separator.
The AI processes the clip on-device and separates it into two tracks.
Two independent tracks appear on the timeline (plus the original, muted). Adjust volume, apply effects, or mute each track separately.

FAQ
Quick answers about clip compatibility, on-device processing, and how Vocal Separation works.
Vocal Separation works on any audio track and any video clip that contains audio: music tracks, voiceover recordings, and video clips with embedded sound.
Yes. All processing happens on-device. Your audio is never uploaded or transmitted to an external server.
Yes — after separation, both the vocal track and the music track appear as standard audio layers. You can use the Mixer to change the volume, pitch, or panning, EQ, Reverb, or any other audio tool to each track independently.
Yes. Vocal Separation creates two new output tracks. The original clip remains unchanged (as a muted audio layer) and can be restored at any time.
