KineMaster lets you add video clips, images, text, stickers, handwriting (drawing), captions, voice recordings, and effects as seperate layers on the Timeline. Position, resize, and animate each layer separately.
Each layer in KineMaster is independent — you can add video clips, images, text, handwriting, captions, voice recordings, stickers, and effects on top of your primary (background) footage. Drag to reposition, pinch to resize, and rotate with two fingers. Layers can be trimmed, animated, and blended independently.

How to use
How to add and stack layers
Five steps from a new project to a fully layered timeline.
1
Step 1
Tap Create New
Create a brand new project by tapping the Create New button at the top of the Create screen.
2
Step 2
Add media
The Media Browser will automatically open. You can add images or videos as your base (primary) layer. The primary layer is always shown at the top of the Timeline.
3
Step 3
Add a media layer
Tap the Layer button and then tap Media. Add a video or image. It will display as a PiP (picture-in-picture) on top of your primary media layer.
4
Step 4
Set duration
On the timeline, drag the layer's trim handles (the thick yellow bars on the left and right side of the layer) to set when it appears and disappears.
5
Step 5
Add more layers
Use the Layer menu to add text, stickers, effects — stacking them on top of your primary media layer. Auto Captions will add caption layers and using the Voice recorder tool will add a voice recording layer.
Use cases
Three ways creators use multi-layer editing
From reaction videos to brand overlays and composite scenes, layers open up editing possibilities that aren't possible in a single take.
PiP (Picture-in-picture)
Show your reaction or commentary alongside the main footage — add yourself as a layer in the corner for reaction videos, tutorials, or commentary content. Use a mask to change the shape of your layer to suit the content format.
Logo and watermark overlay
Add your brand logo or watermark as an image layer that persists across your entire video.
Composite scenes
Layer multiple video clips, cutouts, and graphic elements to build scenes that would be impossible to shoot in one take.
